Sunset at Oceanside California

It was fun to watch the sky turn red and the sun melt into the ocean. The surfers were riding the last of the waves and a few birds still searching for something to eat. I was glad I was staying in a nice secure motel with a hot tub. What a day. Now For the night a hot dinner at one of the many Sea Food Restaurants. Then a dip in the pool and a soak in the hot tub and some television in a nice refrigerated room.

Sagurao And Four Peaks

Some day if you get a chance I would like you to try one of my favorite things a walk in the desert after a fairly large rain storm. The experience is unforgettable as the ground is soft and easy to step with out slipping. The sure footed feel is different then slipping and tripping in the hard rocky soil. Not wet clay soil as that would be a sticky mess.

Dragon Fly On Aloe Vera

Sometimes One may find very interesting photos in there back yard as I have done here with this dragon fly. I get all excited and fired up for my trips out to the wild places but I sometime do equally well right in the middle of town.

When Was The Last Train To Superior, Arizona

There was a time when you could take the train to Superior Arizona. It would be nice if you could do that today but the train track are now abandon. I don't think there has been a train with passengers since the 1950. I wonder who were on that last train to Superior, Arizona. This photo shows the railroad track east of Queen Valley approximately 8 mile to superior.

I found this one asleep in the middle of the road at the Organ Pipe National Monument. Lucky Rattlesnake I got a few pictures before I chased him off the road to let a car go by.

The Green Heron Waits For Lunch

The green heron waits for lunch. A small blue gill will do, maybe two. OK more I don't know where they fit down his Gullet. Or what happens in its gizzard. I should ask one of those bird wizard.

So many birds eating the fish I wish to know why they still survive. Both fish and fish eating birds. Simply amazing.

Spirits Of The Trail Of The Dead

Long ago there was a trail to California. The southern route was called the trail of the dead. Much of it was along the Gila River through western Arizona and many people died from the heat and lack of water on this trail. And Now! People are dieing again in the same way and place. For the same reason to find a better life. I noticed that the rocks looked like a family walking a long the trail. Can You see those images on the mountain? The Gila River is just over the mountain. This Image always reminds me of all the people who lost their life and love ones along this long forgotten trail. And history repeats itself today In the same way.
